What Do These Following LFT Reports Indicate?
I was diagnose with chronic hep b last three years ago, then my lft's were normal, but my doctor gave me overdose lamivudine 150mg twice a day without further test. I later got a good doctor that asked me to do Hep b serology and hep b DNA test, where the result shows negative DNA and negative e antingen and positive antibody to hep b e antingen, bt my alt and ast rise to upto alt 77 alt 55. After one year my DNA shows 1,887.1 (IU/mL) and now my lft's are normal only alt rises to 43.
Doctor am worried, what do u see? I read some article, that some e antingen negative are active hep b. Please find attached my reports. Note that my viral load test is one year old now.
Thank You.
Your LFTs are normal. NO treatment required.

hi.
Thanks for posting your query.
i went through your questions and the attached reports.
LFT reports dates to July while viral load dates back to last year.
Your current LFT is NORMAL. Though ALT is at 43 but it should NOT be concerned of. Usually values of ALT greater than 2 times the upper limit should be properly investigated. Your is at 43 , so no NEED worry.
HBV viral load should be tested in patients having positive HBe antigen without antibody and who have abnormal LFTs.
as you mentioned that "antibody" against HBe is positive so that is a very satisfactory sign. It indicates that the virus will NOT most likely replicate.
therefore, as per your current LFTs and your history , you do NOT need to worry and do NOT need any treatment. You may just monitor your LFTs annually.
hope to answer your concern.
wish you good and sound health
