What Do These Following Blood Reports Indicate?
Question: hi, i have been diagnosed with typhoid on 19/09/2016.before the diagnosis i was taking pcm 500 at every 6 hours,i had average fever of 103 degree from 15/09/2016 till 18/06/2016. after taking nimesulide and pcm together it came down.now i am taking nimusulid twice a day for fever 101-102.my queries are:
1)please see attached prescriptions and tell me whether the medicines prescribed for typhoid is sufficient or should i stop taking some unnecessary medicine?
2)is nimesulide 100 gm safe for 6 days
3)for how long i have to take typhoid medicines?

I have read your query and reviewed the attachments.
All attachments are blood reports where there is a positive typhoid test.
But there is NO attachment for medicine prescription,so kindly upload it.
There is no issue to take Nimesulide 100mg for 6 days.Mostly it requires to take full course of antibiotics for at least 12 to 15 days to get rid off typhoid bacteria from body.
However,I would guide you further once you will upload your doctor's written prescription.

Thanks for sharing prescription,
You can continue with these two antibiotics, Mahacef plus and Gudcef 200 written in your doctor's prescription. (Antibiotic choice may vary from physician to physician.)
But ensure that you should take them for at least 10 days followed by your next visit to the doctor. (In typhoid antibiotics should be taken for a full long course as I said earlier)
And there is no issue to continue with Nimesulide and Tab.Calpol 500 on SOS basis if you have fever. I did not find any unnecessary medicine in your doctor's prescription.
You should also be careful with your diet during treatment. Take only plenty of liquids and soft/light diet for first 5 days of treatment. Your treating doctor must have explained it to you.
And last, no issue to sleep in AC. It is not relevant to the typhoid treatment.
