What Is The Treatment Time For Fever With Paracetamol 500 Mg?

Dr. my wife suffering from typhoid on 25.10.10 and i take her to the Dr. he given OF200 for 14 days after she get well again after 4day she also had high fever about 105F again i went to the Dr. on 17.11.2010 the Dr. gave tablet Mahacef plus. she taken the above medicine but so far the fever not reduced. if the fever reduce only she taking paracetamol 500 2 tablet once in 4 hours. now my question is the treatment is correct? if it is correct how many days she will take the medicine?

You wife is having TYPHOID fever according to you .
She took oofloxacin 200 mg for 14 days and after 4 days she again got fever and this time she advised cefixime + ofloacin and fever is not responding and it is around 105 degree F .
Only paracetamol works but that too for 4 hours .
In my opinion , this type of fever may be due to these reasons, these include:
1 Tuberculosis , diagnosis can be confirmed by C ray chest . Also get in blood for C B C , E S R ( if level is very high i.e. > 100 mm of 1st hours highly suggestive of tuberculosis or any chronic disease.).
2 Typhoid fever , get in Widal and serology test for confirmation.
As you mentioned that your wife is having only fever so get in above mention test .
3 Urinary tract infection may be the another such cause of fever . Get in urine examination .
In my opinion deal as mentioned above .
Consult one more physician for 2nd opinion.
