What Do Vertigo And Leg Weakness Indicate While On Cholesterol Medications?
Question: Thanks, I am 84, on blood pressure and cholestrol meds...I've been experiencing more weekness in my legs and hips, dizziness in my head(vertigo) which gives me a feeling of unstable. the last three evenings my temples seem to pulsate and pound harder. My most recent testing(this week) with my doctors are all clear. I am frustated and anxious as to why I'm feeling all of this...aging..arthritis...back and spine problems...??
I have a hard time thinking aging causes all this vertigo and unstable feeling...
Thanks for your thoughts

Brief Answer:
Get investigated and examined by a neurologist
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Vertigo at this age can be due to benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Other possibility may be cerebellar involvement.
Leg and back pain may be due to lumbosacral radiculopathy or deficiency of vitamin or electrolytes.
Get blood investigations like thyroid profile, vitamin D, renal function and liver function test, potassium and calcium too.
Examination by a neurologist will be helpful in narrowing the differential diagnosis.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
