Question: my son has white rash on the underside of his tongue and roof of his mouth.

As per your answers it looks like inflammation inside mouth also known as Stomatitis..
As of now he should continue applying Anbesol oral gel and along with it he should also take a Vitamin B complex daily..
Do warm saline gargle..
Such ice popsicles..
Soda bicarb gargle can also help..
Follow for a period of 4-5 days and in case of still there is no improvement then he should consult an Oral Physician for a clinical examination to get checked for fungal infection like Oral Thrush..
