Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.
I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.
It seems from the history that your wife is having a bump on the eyelid associated with pain.
This indicates a inflammatory swelling of the glands of eyelids like hordeolum externum or hordeolum internum.
I treat these conditions with antibiotic eye ointment like ciplox eye ointment and oral analgesic tablets. Apllying hot compression provides symptomatic relief.
If possible do send a photo of the affected eye so that I can confirm the diagnosis.
Hope the information is helpful to you.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Ciplox eye droos during day and ointment at night.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.
I usually treat hordeolum with antibiotic eye drops and eye ointments like ciplox eye drops, one drop 3-4 times a day and ciplox eye ointment at night time.
Analgesic tablets like diclofenac 50 mg is required once a day or twice a day depending on the severity of pain. Analgesic tablets have to be taken after food and if required with anti gastric tablets like rantac 150 mg to prevent gastritis caused by these drugs.
Along with this hot compression by a clean cloth dipped in warm water provides quick relief.
Do consult your doctor for prescription of drugs or if the condition does not resolve over 7 days.
Hope the information is helpful to you.
