I have not been sexually active in 8 months, I don't have much reason to consider it to be an STD. I'm not certain it is a cyst, probably more likely to be an ingrown hair. Its about half the size of a pea, a little red (not not to the touch), has drained a small amount of pus, a little tender but not too painful. I've had a few of these in the past that have gone away after some time, but this has been around for 3+ months.
Brief Answer:
Infectious lesion - folliculitis or carbuncle
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
A red colored lesion, slightly painful, with oozing out of pus suggest that it is an infective lesion.
Folliculitis due to ingrown hair or carbuncle can be the possibilities.
A clinical examination is required.
If the lesion is still inflammatory, topic antibiotic ointment can help.
Since, the lesion has been there form past three months, don't wait it to heal on its own.
Active treatment is needed.
Thanks and take care
