What Does A Cystic Area In Uterus Mean?

Needs further evaluation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
A cystic swelling on the uterus is more likely to be an ovarian cyst. In the post menopausal age group, any cyst that is larger than 5 cm in size needs to be investigated and the possibility of malignancy needs to be ruled out.
The swelling on the right side of the abdomen can be due to gut distension due to gas and indigestion or an intra abdominal mass related to liver or right kidney. This needs to be investigated to find out the exact cause.
MRI scan of the abdomen will be helpful along with a few blood tests depending on the size and site of the cyst.
You can attach the report of your ultrasound scan for a better evaluation.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

A cystic area in the endoetriu can be a benign cyst. It is best to get a biopsy done to rule out any chances of malignancy. The chances of malignancy are low.
