What Does A Fasting Blood Glucose Level Of 125 Indicate?
Question: test shows fasting at 125 and after taking juice and normal meal suger level is 135. what it shows

A fasting sugar level of between 101-125 indicates Impaired fasting glucose . It means that you XXXXXXX not diabetic but you may become Diabetic patient in few months or years unless pre4ventive measures are taken.
Post food blood sugars levels are in normal range.
However I recommend one more test called HBA1c which gives us 3 months average blood sugar level. Kindly get the test done and revert back with report.

Well there is 10mg/dl increase when compared to Fasting . But even if it was same or less than fasting it doesn't indicate abnormality .
It just means that your body is having difficulty to maintain a normal fasting blood sugar level. This could be due to reduced basal Insulin secretion. ( Basal Insulin secretion is the amount of Insulin produced by the body continuosly)
While a normal post food blood sugars means your body is able to produce that extra Insulin which is required to bring down rise in blood sugars which happens after taking food .
