Question: I Have a kernel (small Knot) behind my ear with a swelling under it, is this anything to be concerned about?

The knot is about the size of the tip of my small finger in diameter, and my ear has a pain but it is not very bad.

I were to do a local & ENT examination to rule out the possibility of underlying infection.If it is a lymph nodal swelling(reactive lymphadenitis) conservative management by analgesics (Ibuprofen 400mg twice daily after food for 5 days) available over the counter serve adequate relief.
