Brief Answer:
Ultrasonography and FNAC

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history: 28 / Female - lump in left armpit for years together - pains only when touched - wants to know what can be done...

The most probable causes of such a lump can be:
-Lipoma
-Sebaceous cyst
-Lymph node
-Tail of the breast

The best way to get this diagnosed is:
Ultrasonography and ultrasonography guided FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology).
This will prove the cause.
Also consult a General Surgeon to have a clinical diagnosis and an opinion for the proper diagnosis and whether to keep such a lump under observation or to remove it and send it for histo-pathology examination. By removing such a lump if feasible, you get rid of the disease too.

I hope this answer helps you to get a proper diagnosis and treatment if need be . . . Please feel free to ask for more if you need to.

Just wondering if this could be a cancer lump?

If that is the case what is the chance of survival?
doctor
Answered by Dr. T Chandrakant (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
Not likely to be a cancer -

Detailed Answer:
Considering your young age of 26, lump stationary for so many years, no other constitutional problems you talked about, this is not likely to be a cancer lump; so no opinion about the survival.
