What Does A Lump On Forehead Indicate?

Question: I woke up yesterday with a lump on my forehead. I do not remember knocking it on anything. It is swollen. My research online indicates it could be an incest bite, such as a spider, or an acne cyst. notice picture 5792, after putting warm compress with salt for 10 minutes or so and trying to squeeze the area, clear substance came out, barley any. Now as you can see in 5791.jpg there is a yellow bump, its not soft it is hard.

The swelling looks like insect bite as it is having allergic erythema over it. I guess antihistamines like cetrizine will take care of it.

Traumatic hematology is less likely possibility since you don't remember getting any.

Ok well, should I go to a doctor? What is cetrizine where can i get it? is that a pill or a lotion? Is warm compress or cold compress good? When will this go away? I'm freaking out, i have to go to work tomorrow so i wont be able to do anything until after.CETIRIZINE 10MG CHEWABLE TABLETS do i get that? please tell me what to get and how much to take or put on. I am scared its a poisonous spider or something.

Hi,

Yes that is same cetrizine. But that will cause increased sleep. So better to avoid it during work and driving. You can take it once in night.

You can try cold compresses.

It will take 3-4 days to settel.

For faster recovery you may take tablet serratiopeptidase 10mg twice a day for 3 days. But this is a prescription only medicine and you need to see a local doctor.

Ok, so its 3am and I am about to leave for work, which I will be at all day. I should not take the ceritizine hci capsules then? It says 24 hour allergy relief. I also got ibuprofen for inflammation.

Hi,

Cetrizine has tendancy to cause drowsiness in most people, therefore I woudn't suggest you to take it now if you are leaving to work. You can take ibuprofen twice a day after food. If it itches more, you can apply caladryl lotion on the affected area.
