Question: I gave my boyfriend a blowjob last month unprotected and I'm so scared I have hiv. He said he got tested for it and the results were negative. About a week after that i got a sinus infection and it's mostly gone i just have postnasal drip now. I have tried to forget about it but just a couple days ago I have been working out really hard and I hurt my left shoulder and neck. Today I woke up and found a lump on the side of my neck where it hurts. I'm so scared it could be a symptom of HIV. Or is it because I strained my neck? Or because I had a sinus infection? Please help me

You dont need to be concerned.those are symptoms of any upper respiratory infection and this is not acute retroviral syndrome which is commonly confusing people. risk of hiv transmission even if your BF is hiv +, is negligible. some other STDs may be transmissed but this is also minor risk. so treat yourself as any other throat infections.Lump can be sign of swollen lymph node which is commonly seen in throat aches. if symptoms persist,antibiotics may be neccesary but HIV is something that shiuodnt be on your mind.
