What Does A Ring Worm Like Rash On Foot Indicate?
Allergic reaction, anti allergics, see Dr for revi
Detailed Answer:
hi and thank for the query,
It might be helpful to know if you are experiencing any itches or not. The image presented is very indicative of an acute inflammatory reaction that is occurring. The rapid spread and development within a very short while is suggestive of an acute reaction. It is important to exclude an allergy to some substance, some insect bite. In case of itches, the possibility of an allergic reaction is most probable in this case. Ant histaminic drugs (Primalan, Aureus, Promethazine) taken orally could reduce itches and topical local steroids could be sufficient.
Based on the severity and degree of spread, injectable steroids could be used. I do think it is less likely this should be a fungal infection based on the image you just uploaded, but the possibility is not completely or totally impossible though.
Taking anti histaminic drugs or other anti allergic drugs and seeking a consultation with your primary care doctor as soon as you can could be useful. It is very easy however to distinguish, with a proper clinical review a fungal infection from an allergy. However, the image you present is more of an allergic reaction. Kind regards as I wish you the best of health. Kind regards
Dr Bain
