What Does A Rough Spot On Leg Indicate?
I have submitted this question 3 times but my anxiety is gettinng to me so i wanted to submitted one more time- i cannot get into the doctor until 9/2 so in the mean time if you can help ease some nerves i would ne very appreciated.
I noticed this spot on my leg roughly 3 weeks ago and all i can thinkand panic about is melanoma or cancer in general. When you google it goes straight to cancer. All 3 previous dr said it isnt melanoma and not to worry-
The lesion is flat for the most part. If i run my finger over it i can feel it, it doesnt bleed or ooze or anything along that nature nor any pain. It seems like the skin over it peels or its dry ? I would say its shiny if that helps
I dont know exactly how long it has been their but i do examin yself a lot due to too many fears and i have never noticed it before from what i remember
In may i had a lower body skin check- all clear
In the beginning of Aug upper body check and all clear
Beginning august a physical all clear
With in the last year :
Colonscopy - clear
Blood work- clear
Pelvis ultrasound- clear
Stomach, kidney, pancreas ultrasound clear
Please give me some insight
Thank you, XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
It doesn't look like cancer or melanoma.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Thank you for the attached pictures.
After seeing the pictures of this skin lesion ,I don't think you need to worry.
It looks like a common, benign ,skin spot or freckle .
It ,certainly doesn't look like Melanoma or Skin cancer.
I can understand that a lot of bad things cross your mind (especially if you consult the internet) but in my opinion you have nothing to worry about.
The spot is not pigmented ,the borders are regular ,it looks symmetric. There's nothing on it to make you suspect cancer or melanoma.
You don't need further investigations for this spot but if it makes you feel better you should consult a dermatologist to have a close look at the lesion with a dermatoscop.
Hope it was of help.
Let me know if you have other questions or doubt to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.
Kind Regards!

Thank you for responding-
I hate worrying - i know its not a feckle since its a tad elwvated but not anything like a mole- the feeling is different from my tegular skin a little but not like a mole on my arm-- but you feel it is benign looking? Can cancer present itself like mine? If i got checked in may could a skin cancer grow that quickly ?
Sorry just need more clairification
It looks benign!
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
I totally understand your concern, but in my opinion you don't have to worry.
The lesion looks benign.
A skin cancer can grow in some months but your skin lesion doesn't look like cancer.
It is a small spot, symmetric, with regular border and uniform color so there is no reason to think it is cancer.
You may want to keep a look on it and if this spot grow quickly or changes color ,consult a dermatologist but right now don't need to worry about it.
If you have other questions please don't hesitate in asking me.
Take care!

Nothing serious.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
I can't tell for sure but it doesn't look like a specific diagnosis.
It looks like a common spot or localized skin inflammation that doesn't have any significance.
After your dermatologist examine it with a dermatoscope ,can tell you more about is.
Regards!
Dr.Rovena
It doesn't look like cancer.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
As much as I can see from the detailed pictures it doesn't look like cancer.I am sure for this.
It doesn't look like a serious skin condition ,so why you should think of cancer?
Your dermatologist can tell you this for sure after examining it with dermatoscope.
I am pretty sure it is nothing serious.
Dr.Rovena
It seems like if anything pops up and google it -- its cancer-

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
I can understand this but google might be a bad consultant if you are so anxious and fear cancer.
If you always expect the worse option even in minor symptoms ,you are causing a lot of stress to yourself.
Now try not to think about it until your appointment with your dermatologist.
All the best!
Dr.Rovena
