What Does A Small Bump On The Heel Indicate?
Question: I have had a couple of small (1/2 inch or smaller) places on the edge of my heel (the side, NOT the bottom) that are crusty, and if I try to remove the crusts, there are blisters underneath.
They itch like crazy, so I either put an OTC lotion on it that says it is for itch relief (works!), or I use the cream my primary-care (Gyne) doctor gave me (triamcinolone 0.1%). This lessens the itch and seems to calm everything down, but then another crust and blister gradually develops right next to the medicated part.
It has spread a bit in the couple of months I am dealing with it, and it is no where else on my body.
I am puzzled as to what it is, and most sites try to jump to their own conclusions before hearing everything. Hope you can give me some ideas of where I should turn next.
