What Does A Small White Cyst Inside The Outer Folds Of Rectum Indicate?

Question: I have a small white cyst inside the outer folds of my rectum. It evidenced itself approximately three month ago. There is no pain or blood associated with this small lump and it has not grown is size. Is this something I should consult my local gastroenterologist about?

Thank you for posting in health care magic.
A cyst in the rectum or Anal canal is rare.
It could be a polyp arising from the rectum.
It is better to consult a Surgical gastroenterologist rather than medical gastroenterologist.
Colonoscopy has to be done as it excludes any other similar lesion in large bowel.
The advantage of Colonoscopy is that this swelling can be removed by it and the excised swelling should be sent for histopathological examination.
Whether it is removed surgically or by Colonoscopy, it has to be sent for histopathological examination to know the exact diagnosis.
