What Does A Swollen Preauricular Swollen Lymph Node Would Look Like?
Is there a way I can tell if it is swollen. it seems like it on the surface and not very deep.
And it is not really noticeable unless I really look at it closely. It does not look like my definition of swollen.
Is there any test I can perform to check if it is pimple or swollen node?
Every other location of lymph node is fine. Kind of worried it might be a indication of something serious.
can you send me a picture of what a swollen preauricular swollen lymph node would look like? etc...
this is the picture I used for what I am calling preauricular:

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your concern.
I was wondering whether the attachment is your own photo or someone else's just for reference.
The simple differentiation between the Pre-auricular lymph node and a pimple can be made by just clinical examination:
- In pre-auricular lymph node, the skin may be reddened but can be moved on the lump, you can feel it to be deep seated, fixed (can not be moved at all), gets a bit prominent on clenching the teeth.
- The Pimple as seen in the picture you have posted is superficial, can see a spot of its duct on the skin, the redness of the skin is more widespread, very tender, moves with skin and is very obvious, clenching the teeth does not affect in ant way.
I hope this answer helps you.
so it is a pimple?
