What Does Bleeding During Intercourse After Child Birth Indicate?
Pap smear is necessary, and colposcopy is required.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
I think it is just coincidence that you restarted Adderall and had post coital bleed again.
Adderall cannot lead to post coital bleeding.
The earlier irregular bleeding could be because of birth control, but even birth control cannot directly cause bleeding post intercourse.
Also, an ultrasound scan cannot pick up common causes of post coital bleeding.
THe common ones are - a cervical lesion ( infection, erosion, ectropion or other lesion ), cervical polyp, foreign body, endometrial polyp etc.
For diagnosis of these conditions it is essential to have an internal exam, a Pap smear and if the clinician finds anything more suspicious, then a colposcopic evaluation is required.
Please get this done.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
Best if a GYN does it.
Detailed Answer:
Did you OB - GYN examine you internally ???
With a speculum ?
It is best if your OB - GYN examined you and did a Pap smear.
Then ask your primary care provider to do a pap
Detailed Answer:
That is strange.
ANything requiring a Pap smear mostly shows up on per speculum exam.
If it is faster, you can ask your primary care provider to perform a Pap smear.
Best avoided 3 days prior to pap smear
Detailed Answer:
Yes, since it is best to refrain from sex 3 days prior to having a Pap smear.
Avoid using douches or vaginal creams / medications of any sort also.
Take care.
