What Does Bleeding During Pregnancy Suggest?

Question: Hi I m 15 weeks pregnant and I m bleeding little from past 3 days I visited doctor on day 1st day itself they did ultrasound and mentioned that placenta is low anterior and touching internal OS and asked me to be on bed rest still I m scared because it's been 3rd day I m getting still brown spot bleeding and its not heavy I m. Really scared plz suggest me what I can do ????will it lead to miscarriage?? I m really scared this is my first baby plz help me

Low lying placenta reaching internal os is termed as placenta previa, and is the cause of bleeding in pregnancy.
The treatment is bed rest, restricted physical activity and avoidance of intercourse.

Hi dear, bleeding from placenta previa stops in 4-5 days maximum if the strict bed rest, abstinence and restricted physical activity is followed.
However, if any one of these is not followed , then bleeding can continue for longer.

If thebleeding is continuing for 9 days, then you should get a repeat ultrasound to assess if any retroplacental bleeding or hematoma is there.
You should be given progesterone injections to support the pregnancy.
Bed rest, restricted physical activity should be practiced.
