What Does Bloating And Gurgling Sound From The Stomach Suggest?
Question: I wake up after 1-2 hours of sleeping and I am bloated. I look like I am 7 months pregnant and my stomach is gurgling. The bloating usually will last until noon the next day. I do not eat late at night and have a fairly good diet.

You seem to be having Gastroesophageal reflux disease.
GERD treatment includes antaacids, H2 receptor blockers and proton pump inhibitors.so could you please tell me the medications you are on?
If you are on Proton pump inhibitors kindly have them atleast half an hour before meals.
Also donot lie down after meals . Walk around or sit for minimum 2 hours after meals. have a bland diet. keep propped up position.
Certain digestive enzyme supplements like for example Aristozyme (syrup) containing (Simethicone,Fungal Diastase,Pepsin)
are helpful for stomach distention , heart burn.
It is used to reduce bloating, discomfort and pain caused by excess gas in the stomach or intestinal tract.
Consult a gastroentrologist regarding your problem.An endoscopy may be required to determine the stage of reflux oesophagitis.he might change the proton pump inhibitors - example omeparazole , pantoprozole etc.
