Question: i woke up this and had a blood spot in my underwear in the front where my penis is.What does that mean

Hello
Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have noticed blood spot on your inner wares ,

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you have any urinary symptoms like increased frequency for urination ,urgency for urination ,nocturnal frequency for urination etc suggestive of enlarged Prostate which is common at this age.
2)Are you taking any medications especially like Aspirin ?
3)Are you sexually active ? and do have painful ejaculation?
4) Did you have erection during sleep?

Isolated episode of spotting of blood has no significance however one has to rule out
enlarged prostate

Take antibiotics like Cefixime twice daily for 5 days ,Drink more water and observe for any improvement .

Else consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic test done to find out the cause of spotting of blood and to rule out Enlarged prostate.
1) Routine Urine test and urine culture
2) Serum PSA.
3) Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen and pelvis .

Further treatment will be decided by him based on clinical findings and results of these tests.
