What Does Bone Spur In Right Hip Of X-ray Indicate?

Question: I have been told, after an X-Ray, that I have a bone spur on my right hip. However, I have such sharp pins and needles at times in my right buttock that I find it hard to believe it's only a bone spur. Any suggestions?

Thank you for the query.

Regular X-ray is a test which is good to diagnose fractures. However it does not say anything about spinal cord condition and possible compression. Your symptoms can be caused by some spine disc herniation which can not be visible in the regular X-ray.
That is why my suggestion is to have an MRI of your lower spine. This test will give the answer about your pain source.
