Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
It is understood that you got pet scan done for thyroid cancer.
The report shows little increased uptake in bones and soft tissues which is non specific in nature. Non specific is a term which is applicable to conditions excluding malignancy but not singled out as yet. It shouldn't be a concern or worry.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Hi,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
Mild diffuse uptake refers to the pattern of distribution. Homogeneous uptake refers to the density. Putting these terms together conveys a message that it might bedue ti your bone mineral density.
Cancer metastasis is usually focal and shows heterogeneous density.
Please don't worry.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
