What Does Bright Flash In Vision?
Question: I was waking up and saw a brief full vision bright flash of light when my eyes were closed. What could be causing this? Prior to that my eyes, when closed, seem to move back and forth for a few seconds. When opened my eyes everything was fine. Sometimes I see quick blue glows in my field of vision. I saw an opthamologist in September 2014 and have no issues with my eyes.
Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be anything serious.

Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your symptoms and would like to reassure you that they do not suggest any serious disease.
They could be normal phenomenon due to movements of fluids within the eyeball.
Since your recent eye examination was normal, there is no need to worry at all.
I hope my reply has helped you.
I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Thank you for your response. The bright flash could just be normal fluid in the eyes? Could you rule out seizures, or stroke?
Brief Answer:
Yes, unlikely to be seizures or stroke.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
Definitely, stroke is excluded.
Regarding seizures, visual phenomena may occur, however, they occur with eyes open and last for several seconds to minutes. Also, they tend to be on one half of visual field.
