What Does Bump On Left Breast With Family History Of Breast Cancer Indicate?

Posted on Mon, 6 Apr 2015
Question: My name is XXXXXX. I am 35 and I have question for you. I have a spot that has come up on my left breast. It's on the left side. It has been there since December of 2014. I thought it was a pimple at first, but it has never gone away. You can "pop" it I guess you could say but it's never puss it is a yellow/clear jelly like consistency. It will never heal. I am getting more and more concerned. My mother had several lumps in her breast that have been taken out but none were cancer. My maternal grandmother lost a breast and eventually her life to breast cancer. My aunt, my mom's sister has also had breast cancer. Thank you!

Brief Answer:
It looks like a Cyst.

Detailed Answer:
Hi!
As per your description, it looks like a Cyst.
It is a benign swelling, not cancer.
I would prefer to remove the swelling and send it for histopathological examination ( Biopsy ).
The exact diagnosis will then be confirmed.
Please consult your Surgeon and get it removed surgically and send it for biopsy.
There is nothing to worry about.
I hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will clarify them.
I wish you a very good health.
Regards.
