What Does Clots In Urine Indicate?
Question: Hi, I am 22 year old white male. In January I passed several string like clots in my urine. Everything then seemed to clear up. I have no pain, fever etc. Now four months later, I went to urinate and I had just a rusty clear sticky leakage coming out for several minutes without pushing or trying to urinate almost like leaking, when I did urinate I passed several more of these string like clots. Urinalysis was done. No infection, all was normal, culture for STD's came back negative as well.

That doesnt explin the passing of clots or the hematuria 3 months between episodes?
Brief Answer:
Renal stone
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for follow up query.
Renal stones do cause blood in urine. Small stones which are of 5-7 mm size do get passed out, While in ureter these stones do cause some amount of trauma resulting in passing blood or clot.
For single episode of such symptoms further evaluation is not essential. If it repeats again then needs to be evaluated.
Hope I answered your query.
Wish you a good health.
