What Does Crust Behind The Ears Indicate?
Not specific. If you had HIV exposure, knowing your status is capital!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this rash and the exposure to HIV that you have reported. This finding maybe seborrheic dermatitis. This is not specific to HIV and cannot be used too tell whether this is HIV or not. I will also like to know what you term an exposure and when that was.
Considering the fact that you were exposed to HIV, I will suggest that you get evaluated for HIV. A rapid diagnostic test would offer definitive answers to this. There is nothing better than knowing your HIV status when in doubts.
In all, this is not specific and diagnostic of HIV. I will suggest you get tested. There is no better thing than knowing your HIV status.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
This is unlikley to be related to HIV!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Though you were exposed to HIV, these symptoms do not tie with the history of HIV. HIV would not cause these symptoms in such a short time interval.
My advice is that you get tested for peace of mind but not that these symptoms can be tied to that exposure in November. Also, protection during intercourse is very important.
I hope this helps. I wish you well and luck with the Surgery tomorrow. Keep me update and feel free to request for more clarifications.
Seborrheic dermatitis is different from this. Also. it occurs later in HIV!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This is not typical of seborrheic dermatitis. You should calm down and not get too worried about this. Though this can be seen in HIV, it comes later and never in acute phase.
I hope this helps. I wish you well.
