Question: I have had dull pain in left medial knee area. Is bad upon standing or laying supine for more than 10-15 minutes and causes slight limp while walking. It goes away after about a minute or two. Pain started two or three months ago. What could cause this?

Brief Answer:
requires some necessary information

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern and after reviewing your history I'm of the following opinion:

1. As it occurred gradually over time thus exclude any sudden knee injury at that moment?
2. Is pain injury-occupation-sports related?, since one has to exclude three most common causes of knee pain i.e.
- either it is due to MCL [medial cruciate ligament] tear, [sports related],
- meniscus tear [occupation related], and
- Arthritis [ age/weather related]?
3. Was any opinion or examination/investigation done by Orthopedic Doctor and/ or Rheumatologist?
4. the pain described by you commonly occurs in inflammation of patellofemoral joint?

Do revert back with your clarification for management and treatment aspect.
