What Does "eacherichia Coli. Abnormal. Antimicrobial S Usceptibility" Mean?
Question: . I had a CBC last week, and I should of told u the results of my urine test, it says that I have. EACHERICHIA COLI. ABNORMAL. ANTIMICROBIAL S USCEPTIBILITY. ABOUT 20 ANTi BIOTICS Micrograms following. Where do we go from here? Please DR.LOHIT. He knows my case.
Hi it's 3 in the morning I woke up with nawsia,I am taking a tums , I still did not get your answer about the COLI ABNONORMAL EACHERICHIA I am waiting to hear your answer and what to do, what other symtems can I expect,will I have to go to E&R for septic like I did a while back, I am worried, cause I get no answer from my own doctor, who said do nothing ,stop the both drugs, and than what I feel uneasy and want to do the right thing ,please help me? Thank you ,I am waiting for your desition.

Sorry for the delay. I didn't received any information till now.
Your urine test is negative for infection and the culture suggest E coli which is sensitive to about 20 drugs.
So if no clinical features of infection then no need to take any drugs as the e coli is present most cases and is common occurence. Only if you have clinical features like fever, burning sensation, Irritation or others. You can be put on any drugs that are sensitive.
The nausea can be due to other causes. Need not be related to urinary tract infection. May be due to gastric problem or indigestion or anxiety.
No need to worry for septicaemia, as this presents with high grade fever and associated with other problems related to infection. You be relaxed. For nausea have good nutritious diet, there shouldn't be hypoglycemia or hyperglycaemia. If severe then take anti emetic like domperidone and this will help you.
