Such symptoms can occur in sleep related disorders or Parasomnias
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. It appears that the problems of rubbing feet while sleep and grinding teeth you are having are related with Sleep Disorders especially Sleep related disorders or also called as parasomnias.
The problem of rubbing feet is related to Restless leg syndrome or Periodic limb movement disorders (PLMD). In PLMD individuals have irresistible desire or urge to move their feet. Some times they feel discomfort in their limbs and in-order to relieve themselves from that urge they move limbs periodically during sleep. Such behaviours are seen commonly in some individuals. Bruxism or Teeth grinding also occur during sleep cycle.
In most individuals such symptoms don't cause much complications except non-refreshing sleep, but their partners suffer a lot and this is the main reason for them to consult a doctor. Their is nothing serious in that but you should consult a Psychiatrist or Sleep Medicines specialist for proper treatment.
Medicines like Benzodiazepines especially Clonazepam, Alprazolam for short durations help to regularise the sleep cycle in reduce the episodes. In others medicines like Levadopa, Pramipaxol are needed. These medicines help to control uncontrollable movements in limbs. Visit a doctor for prescription of these drugs.
Apart from this Vitamin B12 supplements, Iron supplements help to reduce the symptoms when taken for long term.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.
