What Does High Creatinine Level With One Kidney Indicate?

Question: Yes, thank you. I have only one kidney, lost my right kidney from cancer. My GFR now reads 45, and my creatinine is higher-1.21 with bilirubin at 1.4,these readings concern me. But I plan to be relocating within a month, so should I still be seeing my doctor or can I wait until I move? so far, I only see an Internal Medicine phyician. I also am very weak and tired most of the time, can I walk more, or do I just rest more? If possible I would like Dr. Mintz to answer my question, since he is a Internal Medicine physician

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that since your creatinine is on higher side ideally you should see a doctor but since you have mentioned regarding the situation if you are not able to see a doctor keep a check on your input and output .If you feel that your urine output is decreasing then there will be an immediate need to see the doctor at the earliest . So you can vitally monitor it .
Rest avoid any nephrotoxic drug and follow a uremic diet specially with low potassium.
Take care.
