Question: I am 11 weeks pregnant the inferior end of placenta is covering internal OS Grade 1 anterior .What does it mean?Does it mean something serious?What precautions should be taken ?

Brief Answer: precautions detailed Detailed Answer: Hi, Placenta grade 1 maturity means its development at 11 weeks is grade1. Since it is covering the os, so this is a matter of concern . It is covering the uterine opening at this stage. It may go uneventful as such and there may occur migration of placenta in further times to come, usually around 28 weeks. S o,in times to come in next scans there may be no placenta praevia, but it is not sure. Moreover, placenta previa, what you are having is likely to cause painless,and absolutely causeless bleeding, which you cannot predict to happen. Precautions to be taken for this are Never get a p/v(internal) examination from anybody for any reason. Avoid intercourse. Do not lift heavy weight. Do not sit on the floor and do such kind of work. Do not strain while passing stool, so avoid constipation also. Yes, one word of advice, Do not go to the bathroom and bolt the door.Do not travel alone. Keep someone informed about your whereabouts.
