What Does Inter Menstrual Bleeding Indicate?

Question: Hello, my last menstrual period lasted for an unusual 9 days (Normally it is 7 days). 3 days later I started bleeding again, but this time around it's not like the flow I usually experience on the first day of my menstrual period. The blood is tiny drops with thick blood clotting. Between this 3 day period I have had unprotected sex with my partner and I'm not on any contraceptive pills . Based on my calculation my ovulation is suppose to start the on the day this unusual bleeding occurred Thanks in anticipation to your response

The irregular bleeding that you are having after the periods can be due to vigorous sex, unhealthy cervix, local vaginal infection or a hormonal imbalance. You need to consult your gynecologist for proper diagnosis after an examination.

I read in some other blog that it could be stress or shedding on the uterine lining left on the body. Not try to dispute your answer or force word out of your mouth that would make me happy, but just to let you know the day before this happened I did a lot of exercise which I haven't done in long time and later on in the evening the bleeding happened

Exercise is a stress that can cause bleeding. The left over bleeding after the period is over usually starts 2-3 days after the period finishes and is brown in color. In both the cases, it should stop on its own without any treatment.
