What Does Intermittent Blood Discharge From The Nipple Indicate?

Question: I am male, 65 yo.I have had bleeding from my left nipple only several times in the last few months. The blood discharges from the tip of the nipple and only on the left. I no longer run. This has mostly happened at night but it sometimes happens during the day. What could be the cause and what could be the danger So?

Such symptom can be caused by a breast cancer (I do know that you are male). It is rare but possible. Even if there is no lump palpable, please consult your doctor and have an ultrasound done.
