TSH of 2.61 is generally considered within normal limits. However, there are uncommon thyroid conditions like secondary hypothyroidism that can have a TSH in variable numbers. So it is often useful to undergo the full spectrum of thyroid function tests such as free T4, total T4, total T3 and T3 resin update.
