Brief Answer:
Folic acid deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
According to your description,
Low RBC count with high MCV and MCHC is indicating macrocytic and hyperchromic anemia.
This can be seen in conditions like:
-Folic acid deficiency
-Alcoholism
-Intake of drugs which act as folic acid antagonists etc.
By estimating the levels of folic acid, cynacobalamin, ferritin and iron in blood, the possible cause of the problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly.
In case of folic acid deficiency, supplementing folic acid can help in normalizing the RBC indices.

Hope I have answered your question. I will be available to answer followup questions. If you are satisfied with the response, please give your review at the end of the discussion.
Take care.
