Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry much about that.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have low ferritine level and normal iron level. Ferritine is the storage form of iron. Its level correlate with iron level. Generally ferritine level affect first. Once the stored iron used then only iron level decreased. You have normal iron with normal hemoglobin. So it can be due to normal variation or mild iron deficiency. Nothing to worry much about that. No treatment is required. Take iron rich food like dates, green leafy vegetables, dry fruits, jaggery etc.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.

I am still confused. Here are my levels.

Iron is 28.4 (6.6-26) - above range
Ferritin is 21 (13-150) - reasonably low.

Please try to answer better for my increased understanding..

Brief Answer:
Don't worry much about range and value.

Don't worry much about ranges and value. Its not like that. This kind of variation is common in iron and ferritin level. In my views both are almost normal and there is no real need to worry. Don't think much about that. Just be relaxed.

Hello,
I don't agree as the IRON level is over the top end of the range. I think I would ask for another doctor to see their reply.
I do wonder if any doctor that I see really studies these blood results?

I hope these comments are acceptable to you.

We are treating patients not report. Such kind of variation is common in iron and ferritin level. No any further interpretation is needed. Just be relaxed.

If you are not satisfied with answer then you can take opinion of other doctor or go for repeat testing. There is no harm in that.
