Posted on Mon, 25 Sep 2017
Question: My sodium level has dropped since, I believe, I was prescribed neurontin for RLS. I take 5 pills per day - 3 every 6 hours and 2 at bedtime. My fantastic doctor can't figure out why. Any answers for me. Thank you, Alana XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Hyponatremia is a side effect of neurotin!

Detailed Answer:
HI,

I have reviewed your information fully. Low sodium is a known and well documented side effect of neurotin. I suggest you bring this to your doctors attention. He might want to review the medication- Change the dosage or substitute with another entirely.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
