What Does Lump In Right Breast With Clear Ultrasound Indicate?

Question: Hello,

I recently submitted a questuon regarding a lump i felt in my right breast. I saw my doctor and said she felt it and that it didnt feel like a nodule? She did send me for a ultrasound. I we t tl the ultrasound today and it was a technician so she did share any information with me. She did thw ultrasound for 5 or 10 min and then showed the radiologist my images. She came vack and said he was happy with her images and i was good to go. My question is. And i know you cannot peoperly asnswer per say but being a quick appoinment and the radiologist didnt come in do you feel its breast cancer?? I am panicking not knowing. She said i can follow up wirh my doctor tomorrow.

The docotr felt the lump or whatever but said it didnt feel like a nodule? Whats a nodule? Do radiologist typically comfiem the findings if something is abnormal

Nodule is firm in consistency during palpation.Nodule may due to both reasons benign or malignant.
There are various things that are observed during palpation means its size,fixity,mobility,consistency etc
Ideally mammography is advised if any nodule is felt.Then findings are corroborated with ultrasound.
Yes,radiologist should confirm the findings his/her own if there is any abnormality during ultrasound.
