Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Minimal fluid in pouch of XXXXXXX accompanied with pelvic discomfort and irregular menstrual bleeding indicates pelvic inflammatory disease PID. The treatment given is sufficient to clear common infections. Please avoid sexual intercourse for the time duration while she is on antibiotics.

It is also true that in the absence of clinical symptoms up to 5 ml of fluid in POD even under normal conditions when a woman is ovulating.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
