Question: I m 27 yr old female. I seem to have some kind of movement in my stomach after hours after meals. I think its gastric trouble as well as acidity. it gives me a burning sensation too in the stomach. what should I do to avoid this situation? what medicine should I take to get relief on such occasions? what should I avoid? I generally don't take spicy food. recently though I have had salads with vinegar dressing. could this be the reason for acid reflux?

ranitidine, fibrous food, plenty of water
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using HCM.
I went through the query and understood your concern. .
Feeling of movements in abdomen may be due to peristaltic movement of intestine. This is normal, but burning sensation suggest of gastritis.
If severe you can take drugs like pantoprazole or Omeprazole to relieve gastric symptoms. If not much pain or burning sensation then take ranitidine 150mg twice daily 30min before food. Along with these you need to take plenty of water and fibrous food like green leafy vegetables and fruits. Have food at regular intervals and you should have some food limited quantity at every 3 hours to avoid the action of gastric secretion on the mucosa. Avoid spicy food, tea and coffee. If smoker avoid smoking.
yes too much venegar can cause this problem but follow the above said measures.
I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask if any further queries and I will be glad to answer them.
Wish you good health and faster recovery.
Regards
