What Does My ECG Test Report Indicate?
Question: I am getting myself extremely worried. I just found an ecg from a stress test I did in 2011 that is very different from my most recent ecg. The one that i had done in the ER yesterday seems like a lot of the st segments are elevated (more than before) and the RSr' definitely wasn't present in the clear ecg.
Brief Answer:
Need attached ECGs

Is it normal for it to change from one month to another?
It also looks like there is more st elevation in most leads than my old ECgs. The first one from 2011 looks perfect, and yhe second one is similar (taken about one month ago). The third one seems ro have a lot of leads with slight elevation .

Detailed Answer:
Actually there can be some deviations between ECGs performed in different dates.
When performing an ECG the nurse can't place the ECG electrodes in exact same places. When we place the ECG electrode a little higher or lower, we registered an ECG from a slightly different place, so the ECG can't be the same every time.
Such changes can occur even between two ECGs taken the same day, if electrodes are placed a little bit different.
Take care

Thank you. Should i be concerned about the st elevation in the latest ecg? I have a follow up with a cardiologist, but the doctor didnt mention anything about it. I am mainly concerned because i was in the ER with left shoulder and arm pain and my troponin i fluctuated between 0 as baseline, to 0.01 three hours later, back to 0 five hours later. They ended up sending me home but i am still concerned that there was any troponin at all since everything seems to say it should not be = to or greater than 0.01 .

Welcome back
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,
There is absolutely nothing to be concerned neither for your ECG nor for Troponin, both are normal, and there is no significant variation.
