What Does My HSG Test Result Indicate?

Question: Hello Doctor,

Today my wife had taken HSG test for pregnancy. We were told that she is having "Cervical pin hole OS" and apart from that there is a good spill over from the right tube and block in the left tube. What should be the next option for us? Could you please explain the complications because of this and how to treat this.

I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply :

1) You can get diagnostic hysterolaparoscopy test done for your wife. This will help in assessing if the fallopian tube on left side is really blocked?

2) This will also help in clearing tight stenosis of of the cervix (pinhole). It will widen it while performing Hysteroscopy.

3) I think this should be your next step. I don't see any considerable complications.

I'm attaching the HSG report, please look into this and let me know the possibility of natural pregnancy and what are the other ways that she can get pregnant.

Hi,

HSG report you have attached shows blocked right tube. Natural pregnancy chances exist but low.

Hence I suggest you to get laparoscopic evaluation to check if tubes are really blocked and can they be opened ?
