Question: I had a MRI of my prostate in May 2017. I had a MRI of my brain in August 2017. I am scheduled to have another MRI of my brain in December 2017. Just wondering if iit is safe to have this many MRIs in a short period of time

Brief Answer:
MRI is absolutely safe, don't worry!

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting HealthcareMagic!

I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

MRI does not use any ionizing radiation as in X-ray or CT-scan. MRI used magnetic fields to create digital images of internal structures.

So, you can take as many MRI as your doctor may feel the need be.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks
