Can CT Scan Radiation Cause Any Side Effects In Babies?

Hi, my 4 1/2 month old boy had to have a CT scan to rule out a bony defect. They missed the first ct as the picture was blurry and redid right away by using 2.4 mSv radiation for a head CT (don t know how much was the first attempt). My question is, will this high dose radiation provoke a cancer like leukemia?

Hi.. at this radiation level it is not a risk factor for leukaemia. Do not worry about medical radiodiagnostic exposure.
