Brief Answer:
Anatomical facts explained

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
The given impression means that a nerve called the left pudendal nerve at its exit through the prudental canal has been confined (entrapped) within a narrow space between a bony structure called ischial spine on one side and a touch muscle called obturator internus muscle. The resultant compression is thereby causing nerve irritation and is thereby responsible for the symptoms.
Proximal means closer to the origin of the nerve while distal means away from the origin. Since the entrapment is at the exit of the nerve, it is at the distal portion. Hence it is referred to as distal entrapment.
Hope that I have been able to clarify it.
Let me know if you have any further queries and I would be glad to help.
Regards
