"Pain from left low back and it sometime traverses to leg mildly but not always, Rigid back . Pain usually comes  when lie on back and sit for long time. When i get up i have pain if i sleep on back. Constant mild pain is present always"

1 week doctor prescribed me Nuroday PSR and Nacoxia and SWD and IFT in physiotherapy.

2nd week He asked me to stop Physio and some back exercise.

Since No complete relief he asked to go for MRI.

I have attached report of MRI ,

Brief Answer:
dont rush for surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Hope this message finds you in good health.

I have gone through your complaints and understand your concern.
I generally see many cases like this at my clinic.and have found out that conservative means of treatment have given better results than doing a surgery.

In your case, what i see from your results and your complaints is that you have a disc bulge and a minor nerve compression. U can say its a start of disc prolapse.
It surely cannot be neglected. and it definitely WILL NEVER be cured by just tablets.

If u get spine surgery done at such a a young age,it will damage you spine permanently and will cause problems later in your life.So you should try avoiding surgery as far as possible.

BEST treatment for you now is - a COLD LASER treatment which we do at our centre. Its just laser light beams directed at your spine. it has to be done along with lumbar/leg traction - with some iv fluids and some injections in the iv. This is the safest possible and more effective treatment as of today.

Unfortunately, 1 in a 1000 cases do not respond to this treatments, then only we can think of surgery.
You should eventually get back to normal in coming few days.Nothing to worry about, as long as i am there to help you.
I hope your question has been answered.
If you have any follow-up queries, feel free to consult me anytime.
Thanks,Take care,God bless. Wish you a healthy life : )

Hello Doctor , Thank you for your answer . Let me know which clinic and How much is success rate and recovery time for the one you suggest ?

but my current treating doctor says as no significant nerve compression no surgery needed and just do excersise for few days and it goes away slowly..as my pain is not so much I can manage but my one important question is from past 3-4 days I am getting wet feeling around my anus and some burning sensation if I sit for long. I want to know the cause for this is it something to with disc buldge ? or is it due to SWD heat treatment given in physiotherapy , becuase this started recently . or any other reason?

My hospital address is-

only exercises wont help for sure.
the wet feeling from anus does not seem to be due to disc bulge, though in severe cases,it does affect urine and anus sensation.

keep a watch after your physiotherapy is over.

if it goes away after physio, its not a issue

Hello Doctor, Thank you for your response. Is this laser treatment for disc buldge is permanent treatment or temporary ? Laser treatment has to be done with lumbar traction means ? any stitches or cut ?.
did you get any patients with wet feeling at anus with back pain ? I don't have problem with motion but just sometimes feeling wetness

Sorry for so many questions.

Hi
Nothing to feel sorry about it XXXXXXX
Its my pleasure and duty to answer all your queries till you are satisfied.

After laser treatment taken for disc bulge, the effect is permanent until you do harm to the spine again, like lifting weight, fall, trauma etc.
As long as you take proper care of the spine, there is no reason why you should get the pain again for the rest of your life.
With lumbar traction means, we give intermittent traction for say about 2 hours at a stretch, followed by a gap of about half an hour, then leg traction, then infra red, iv fluids , traction ,laser treatment. Al these are given continuously all through the day for approx. 5-8 days, depending upon the response you get
Laser treatment does not need to give cuts, stitches or anesthesia. Its a cold laser like putting a torch light on your skin, The laser light beam is directed at your concerned area and you will get no sensation at all,no pain, warmth,no pricks,no stiches or cuts.

i had a few patients with anus wetness, but those were severe cases accompanied with power and sensory loss in their limbs.
Such disc bulges like you generally don't cause anal symptoms.

Thank you for your detailed explanation and This gives confidence on laser treatment.

As my current trouble is with wetness at anal area and no other problem.

1.Can this anal symptoms be solved ? if it is because of disc buldge ?

2. If it is due to physiotherapy how long I have to wait for it to go away or do I have to consult other specialist immediately?

hi XXXXXXX

if its due to disc bulge,it will eventually stop after your other symptoms of pain go away.
If they are due to physiotherapy, once you stop physiotherapy it should be fine in next 5 days or so.
One thing we can do is ask your physiotherapist if such anal sensations are seen in physiotherapy cases that he generally treats.
