What Does My NT Scan Report Indicate?
Question: Hi doctor
Earlier I asked u about foetus nasal bone.it was not there during NT scan.
Again I had scan at 16 week for nasal bone where it was one side absent and other side hypoplastic.
But at anomaly scan at 19 week it was there and also no other abnormalities detected.
(NT and double marker reports were normal).
My question is that nasal bone appearance at 19 week reduces the risk of down syndrome or not

Brief Answer:
Fetal ECHO and anomaly scan advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam, sorry for the delay in response as I was struck in some emergency.
I daily do genetic counseling and handle Fetal Medicine cases and thus totally understand your anxiety about the issue.
There is nothing to worry about as all other tests and anomaly scan are normal.
But still get a fetal ECHO done in the coming week and repeat anomaly 3D scan at 26 weeks.
All these will help in detecting minor problems if present and thus will help you in handling them at the time of delivery by choosing appropriate hospital well equipped to deal them.
All the best
