Brief Answer:
Recent blood tests

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Alanine aminotransferase (ALT, SGPT) 7–41 U/L (normal range). value of 40 is normal.

Triglycerides 0.34–2.26 mmol/L (normal range).2.16 value is normal.

eGFR normal values as 90-120 mL/min. An eGFR below 60 mL/min suggests that some kidney damage has occurred.
Blood urea 2.5 -6.6 mml/L (normal range) Value of 2.9 mmol/L is within normal range
Serum Ferritin Female 29 -248g/L(normal range) Value of 313 g/l is high

Vitamin B12 -279–996 pg/mL (normal range) Value of 843 within normal range

Serum folate 12.2–40.8 nmol/L (normal range) Value of 32.8 within normal range

Except eGFR & serum ferritin, all values are normal. You might be having mild or early renal insufficiency.

Ferritin is "Positive" acute-phase protein.

Go for serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen.

Thank you for this. All the results I listed were indicated as not in the normal range on the report I received. It was a routine full blood test but I will make an appointment with a doctor tomorrow. Before then, I would appreciate some advice in relation to the eGFR & serum ferritin results you agree are not in the normal range. If these are pointers to a possible kidney problem, even if that midht be mild or early, would you please advise what symptoms I might have or could expect that could confirm this. Thank you again.

Brief Answer:
Recent blood tests-follow up query

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Usually few or no physical symptoms may be there, except biochemical abnormality in the early stage.
Some of the symptoms in early renal insufficiency are non-specific like Fatigue, Sleep disorders , Headache, Lethargy, Anorexia, Nausea and vomiting, Muscle cramps etc.

According to the underlying etiology of renal insufficiency, one may have reduced urine output, facial puffiness.

Routine urinalysis may point to reno-parenchymal cause.

Detail workup is needed to establish the diagnosis.
